This is Dixie Chopper's new marketing campaign! Thanks for the picture taking and editing skills of Papaw, Daddy has this new poster in his office at work! This was his Father's day gift from Dillon.
Welcome to the Hughes family blog. We will try and keep this as up to date as possible and let all of you know how we are doing and what we are up to...thanks for checking up on us!
Lil D was talking up a storm to me this morning while I was working and he was watching cards highlights...so I caught a lil on tape to show off!
As you can see here, we have started with cereal now. It took him about a week to completely figure out what to do with a spoon. Its so cute to watch him eat it, every bite is like a surprise to him. He does a great job of getting it everywhere too, as you can see in the picture above.
Grammy took this picture with him in his little robe. He was playing before bathie time. He absolutly loves his hands now. If hes not drinking a bottle or eating cereal, he is eating his hands and slobbering all over the place. We asked Dr. Emmick about teeth coming in and she said that a lot of babies will start the "theething process" of chewing on thier hands and slobbering even up to a couple months before they get teeth in. She looked and there aren't any teeth yet.
I just had to post this picture because he was just talking up a storm. He loves to talk and smile at you when you are talking to him. Sometimes it sounds like he is really saying words. You can also see here that he is getting way too big! :) We took him to his 4 month check up with Dr.Emmick on Wednesday and he weighed 15 lbs and is 25 in long! He gained 4 lbs and grew 2 in in two months. She told us that he is growing perfect and even said he is perfect too. We told her that we wanted her to tell us something we dont know. :) She loves little Dillon, and we lover her too!! Shes great!
My precious little boy is getting sooo big!!!
Had to put the black and white one on here too! I love this one!
He looks like such a little man in this picture. The hat was a little big but still so cute!
I thought this one was going to be bigger, but you can kind of see his little fisherman outfit. Hes gonna be a fisher just like Daddy!
This is one of the first outfits that we bought for Dillon before he was ever born. Its a little golfer outfit like Daddy. Its still a little to big, but we couldn't wait any longer to put it on him. He was just talking up a storm and cheesing for the camera! I loved it!
OUR DREAM HOME!!
This was our view from the suite at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte. The suite was very nice, the only thing lacking was outdoor seating like in Indy. But it was at least air conditioned and shelter from rain that day! :) The day before (sunday when the race was supposed to take place) Rick Flare (professional wrestler) and Shawn Johnson were in there! We missed it all! :(
We were right above the start/finish line and right in front of Pit Lane. It was cool to see the guy with the flag and to see them all make thier pit stops. The coolest thing of the race was at exactly 3 o'clock they pulled all the cars right in front of us on the main straight a-way and stopped their engines for a moment of silence for all of the military men and women for memorial day. It gave me goosebumps!
