Back from NC!
Welll we (Darren and I) made it back from Statesville/ Charlotte area yesterday. We flew out really really early on Sunday morning and hung out in Charlotte downtown area for a little while, and then drove to Statesville. The day was very uneventful, we pretty much drove all over the state it felt like looking for something fun to do. We didnt really have any luck. But we ended the day with a short nap and then dinner at Red Lobster, which is always nice. On Monday we got up early and headed over to Concord to the racetrack. Ryan's wife and his publicist got us suite passes to the race so we could stay out of the rain. We got there very early and beat alot of the crowd. We got to watch the race and listen to everything that Ryan and his crew cheif and spotter were saying. It was the coolest thing ever! The race was very good, with a very good outcome for Ryan (he got second). After the race we went back to our hotel and eventually got over to Ryan and Chrissy's house in Statesville. They had planned on the party being during the day on Monday and planned on about 350 people being there. Since it was late on Monday after the race, there were only about 150 people there. Besides the catered meal and the enormous log cabin home, it was like an everyday cookout. Cornhole, fishing, popcorn, cottoncandy, big bounce houses. (ok maybe all of that isn't normal, but it was fun) The party was actually for their racing league, Stewart Hass Racing, which Tony Stewart owns. So, he was there too. If you watched the race, you can imagine his mood, pretty ticked off and grumpy. :) Needless to say, we didnt talk to him much, but we did get to hang out with and talk with Ryan and Chrissy and see their beautiful home. I wish I had pictures to post on here, but I didnt want to be that girl! :) Darren took some pictures when he was out there a couple weeks ago, so we will post those later maybe. Yesterday we finally got home after a couple delayed flights and I finally got to see my baby boy! He was mad that we left him at first, but then he had nothing but smiles and giggles for us. It was so fun! He had a great time with his grandparents and didn't even notice we were gone, Bella did though! :) I hope you all had a wonderful memorial day weekend too! We will post more pictures later!

Hughes Update
3 and 1/2 months old!!!

My little blue eyed outdoors man! :) I love this weather, and I think Dillon does to because he gets to wear shorts! Hes just like his daddy and gets hot very easily, and they both get cranky when they get hot! :)

I tell you what, our "little" boy is growing up so fast!!! I dont know exactly how much he weighs right now because we don't go back to the doctor until June 13. (4 month check up) But if I were to guess I would say probably 13 lbs! He is so long too! We are hoping he will keep getting taller and taller and be our little basketball star. :) He is starting to pull his head up so he can sit up now and he can stand very good now with you holding his hands. He is so strong. He is starting to play with toys and interact so much more now. Hes so much fun. And I am happy to report that the colic is over! (i would more or less call it a temper sometimes) :) He is now sleeping all night every night and I am LOVING IT!!
Darren has been super busy with his new job promotion. He has traveled a couple places including to North Carolina to do a video shoot with Ryan Newman. Which inturn he got an invitation to his annual memorial day bbq at his house in Charlotte, and Darren and I will be traveling there this weekend. We are super excited to go to the cookout and to have a little get away too. (our first more than one night stay without Dillon, Im a little nervous. I know he will be in good hands though) Besides traveling Darren has been busy with budgeting for Dixie Chopper and plenty of meetings all day. Outside of work he has been enjoying riding his bike and playing golf when he gets the time. (he is loving this weather too)
My job is going very very well! I really like it a lot. I love the people and I love the hours. I really like learning new things and this is completely new to me! Right now I am busy taking title orders and putting them into the system as well as scheduling closings and helping out whatever needs to be done. Now that its summer and nice out, its so nice to get off work and feel like I still have some time to do things. Especially spend more time with Dillon.
Well thats pretty much all the updates for now. We will write back after our trip to Charlotte and maybe have some good pictures to post! Have a great memorial day weekend!!! Love you all!

Looks like im going to have to be a nervous mom/wife/daughter forever now! Papaw got a new bike last weekend and now Daddy wants one too. I can also already hear Dillon wanting to get boy toys just like Papaw and Daddy too! There is already talk of dirt bikes, four wheelers, trains and much more im sure. I just keep praying for God to calm my nerves and to go with the flow! :)
