Things are going well today, Meg is still very sore but Dillon actually let us sleep for a couple hours last night so we feel REFRESHED. ; )

We have our lil man home!

We just got home today from the hospital...things went fairly well but we are glad to be home. Dillon slept the whole ride home, hopefully he can do the same tonight so we can get some sleep ;)...don't worry we are not counting on it! Right now Meg took over my recliner and the two of them are cuddling up for the cutest nap I've seen.

thanks to all of you who have visited, called, texted, commented on photos...etc...It means a lot to us and hopefully one day Lil D can go back and check out how much everyone cared about his birth in the future.

He was born this morning at 2:57am on yes, FRIDAY THE 13th! He is 7 pounds 13 ounces 21 inches long!

I think I can say that his birthday is not gonna be the 12th!

Meg has been a champ but we are still at the same spot we were this afternoon...we are hoping to see change soon and maybe fast enough to get him here on the 12th (21 backwards ; ) ) but if not we will still be happy with our friday the 13th baby, maybe we will have to change his name to Jason! ok I think not, lack of sleep might have brought that thought out ; )

Well speaking of floods!!!

They broke Megs water this morning at 8:37 and she is starting to feel like it...her contractions are happening every minute and half but they ust don't have the "force" yet so we are still in the waiting game at this point. Thanks to all of you who have called and texted, keep those prayers coming....more to come soon (like a lil boy!!!)

First night in the hospital!

Well it was better than snow but we did fight the flood to get to the hospital!

Meg's mom and the nurses set up stadium seating with popcorn and name tags...haha...Megs face was priceless!!

Imagine that, Meg packing 6 bags!!! haha...lets not forget all my toys either (DVD player, laptop, PSP...thought about the Wii..haha)

Well...............

We are getting ready to be admitted to the hospital (and no not the mental one as many of you speculate). Meg's blood pressure was up a bit at yesterdays Dr. Appointment so they have decided that the baby will be healthier outside of mom and mom will be healthier with baby outside of her. Therefore, baby Dillon should be entering this world by thurs afternoon sometime. They will be giving her Cervidil tonight to try and help things along more natural, if by morning that hasn't worked then we will be moving on to Potosian (no idea on spelling there) on Thurs morning...wish us luck and keep praying for a healthy baby boy!!! thanks for all of your prayers, calls, texts etc so far! Take care and I'll keep you posted as to updates as I find out!

News from the Hughes Front!

Well, we didn't hear any news on when lil Dillon's coming yesterday, but he did yell at me for not having a link to his Blog on our family Blog...he's already got the 'Hughes Attitude!' haha. Feel free to check out his progress here too, he is pretty excited about his very own site!

As far as the appointment goes, everything is still on track and Meg is still gonna be working till at least next tues (baring labor!), then the Doc will check again and decide her future! She hasn't started to Dilate yet but the Doc says that doesn't necessarily mean anything and gave us a "tip" on how to help things along!!! ; ) Ole Doc did mention that she was on call this weekend if Dillon and Meg wanted to go ahead and Labor on the 7th lets say! hehe. Anyway, we will keep you posted on the progress. TTYS

Brian and Emily on their new twin babies, they were born last night just after 8pm! Congrats to both of you, you will be GREAT parents (you have no choice now!)...Wish you guys the best throughout the next few weeks. God Bless!

As for us, Meg has been over-doing it here lately and has had some major problems with swelling! He legs, ankles and especially her feet have been swelling much more than before. Before it had been just at night, but now she is starting to swell as soon as she gets out of bed in the morning. NO FUN FOR HER! I have been trying to get her to prop her feet up somehow at work but she has that 'Hutcheson Attitude' haha...its probably just my 'Hughes Attitude' that has been rubbing off on her over the last 5 years!

We have a Doctors appt. tonight so we will know more after this one as they are gonna check dilation and hopefully tell us something more about Meg's swelling. 2 weeks and counting! Meg hopes sooner than later, ok, me too ; ) Talk to you all later!
