A little update...6 months old already!!

Dillon loved the piggies at the state fair. There was one that was running around and he couldnt quite figure out what it was. He loved watching them. I think he would have even loved sitting in there with them. We went out to the state fair this past weekend for a day. We were only there a couple hours becuase it got very very hot. Dillon did very well and loved looking at everything. He got a balloon and that was his favorite part of all.

Darren and I took Dillon out to Raccoon beach a couple weekends ago when it wasn't too hot out. He LOVED the beach! He loves to be outside and loves to watch people so he was perfect! As you can see in this picture, he can now sit up all by himself. He was a little wobbly at first, but he is really good at it now. Daddy keeps tyring to work on the crawling thing, but we're not getting far with it. (which is totally fine with mommy)

This is Dillon at the canal downtown Indy. I sat him in the flowerbed to take his picture, and He loved sitting down there. He loved it so much that he was taking leaves and shoving them in his mouth. Luckily we caught it in time and he didnt eat too much of one. He did get a little piece though, and he didnt think that was too tasty. This is one of my favorite pictures, he looks so grown up and precious. Hopefully we will get our photographer (papaw) together soon and head down to the canal in Indy for some more good pictures.
I can't believe my baby is 6 months old now! Its so hard to believe. People have told me from day 1 that it would fly by and to cherrish each moment. But oh my goodness they were right. I think it has gone way faster than I ever thought it would. I remember thinking, oh I can't wait until he is past the 3 month mark (because of the colic), but after that the time just kept flying by. Now Im saying, please slow down. He is sitting up all by himself now and rolling everywhere. He gets on his hands and we try to put him on his knees but he just doesn't get it yet. (which is fine by me) He is also eating solids now, he loves the fruit (applesauce especially) and does ok with the veggies, but the peas he will not eat at all!! (which i can't blame him, but i fed it to him anyway) It took him a while to get used to eating solids, but now he loves it and knows when he sees a spoon that its time to eat! :)
We will go to his 6 month check up on Friday. I can't wait to see how how much he weighs and how long he is. To me it looks like he has doubled his length, im sure thats not true, but he looks so long to me. Anyway, we will update after friday and let you know the numbers. Im sure we will have more pictures to post by then too! We are planning on another state fair trip on Saturday with Daddy, so there will be more pictures im sure!

More St.Louis PIcs...

This was on the train at Grants Farm on Thursday. Dillon LOVED being on the train and looking at all the animals. We were waiting to go through a bridge because a Texas Longhorn Steer was standing in the middle of it and didnt think he had to move. We just waited on him. It was funny.

Just stopped to take a family picture in front of the capital building and the arch.

stopped for another family pic by Busch Stadium before the Cards Game

(sorry these pics are alittle out of order) This is at Grants Farm again. Dillon loved the Clydesdales! (and so did his mommy)

LOVE THIS PICTURE!! I have it on my desk at work!

This version is super cute too! He loved being on Daddy's shoulders!
I will probably have a few more to post soon. My computer is very slow at home so its taking a little while. Eventually we will get them all on here! Darren and I also have pictures from our trip to Chicago last weekend. We went up there to the race and had Pitt Passes! It was so much fun and we have a lot of great pictures! I will get them on here soon, along with some pictures of Dillons first fair experience im sure! :)

A few St.Louis pics...

We went to the zoo on Friday. It was very very hot and very very crowded. But it was fun and Dillon enjoyed it.

He was pooped at the end of the day. We all were!! (and still had a four hour drive home)

We took Dillon to his first Cardinals game on Wednesday night. He LOVED it!! We even had to make him eat. He loved watching all the people, and the people all loved watching him too!

This is on our way out there. We stopped in Effingham, IL and happened to drive by this truck stopped at a hotel parking lot. Of course we had to get his picture with it! It was even spelled right!

Dillon at his first Cards game! I think he was thier good luck charm! :)

It was a night game, which was a good thing because it wasn't too hot. It even got cool, so we brought a blanket. But it was way past Dillons bed time, as you can see. He was still an angel the whole time we were there!

All the walking wears him out!! He was quite a trooper!

Here are just a few pictures from Darren's Iphone. I had to post some while I was on here. We have several more to come after I get Darren to download them from the camera memory chip. There are some really good ones, so check back shortly for more. We had a GREAT trip together and couldnt have asked for better weather out there. Dillon was so good the entire time we were gone and I think he loved spending quality mommy and daddy time just as much as we enjoyed spending time with him. It was so hard to go back to work on Monday after spending an entire week as a family. It was so nice and we are looking forward to the next time we can do it again!
