3 weeks and counting...

Well what a 24 hour stretch...As I am sure you all know we just got hit with a bunch of snow (10 and a 1/4 inches at the Hughes household) and we had a another Dr's Appt. yesterday. Lucky the roads were just starting to get bad and we got up there and got back without much problem (just a lil traffic to maneuver around). No real news from the trip other than "Megan, you need more PROTEIN to help with that swelling" haha...Love you babe...
The best news is Megan is off work today, so she didn't have to be out on the roads, always makes me a lil nervous when the roads are bad even when I am driving, cause its those other "idiots" hehe. I ended up making it into work today just got here a lil later than normal ;)

Seems the bloggin idea has caught on with some of my "associates" my sister and her husband Brent started a blog for Corbin (Dillon's oldest cousin who is goin on 5 months) and one of my VERY good friends Brian and his wife Emily have started one as well to celebrate their twins (a boy and girl), which I'm sure will be Dillon's very close alias!...Check them out at:

Thanks to anyone/everyone who is checking us out, as I figure this is the best way to get the word out to how everyone is doing **and it will give me something else to do at the hospital ; )

Still lil Dillon

Well I hate to admit it, but the truth is I was still a lil nervous about the "its a boy" thing...I mean we have gotten so many great gifts (and bought plenty of stuff ourselves) as well as painted the room, got bedding, frames etc for "a boy." But I was just nervous that the day would come and lil Dillon would be Dillonetta! ouch...not that I would have cared to have a girl, but after being told a boy and preparing everything for this long it would have been rough. However, upon further confirmation on Tues it appears I can stay excited...haha...(another Dr. visit) Everything is still on track, Megan, is doing very well and still working everyday...Dealing with the normal swelling in her legs and feet (and exhaustion) but all in all she is still a PLEASURE to be around ; ) thanks for that babe! Anyway, not too much other news right now but we will keep ya posted. Take care and god bless.

Well I made it back without a hic-cup! (unlike lil Dillon)

I just got back from FL yesterday to find my still happy, pregnant wife...which was a relief, I was a lil nervous with leaving town for a few days this close to the due date. We had a Dixie Chopper sales training school as well as TM meeting (TM is Territory Manager, our outside reps throughout the country) which went very well with a lot of good information shared. Plus lets be honest I left -14 deg weather to go to 70 deg weather in FL...that's what we call a "GOOD TRADE." However, as a note to self, don't send your pregnant wife a picture from your balcony overlooking the ocean when she's at home staring at snow and negative degree weather...oops! as smooth as sandpaper!

Everything is still going well and we have 4 weeks left, we go to the Doctor today so I will give you an update as soon as I know! On a side note I am reading Tony Dungy's book and it is a great read I would suggest giving it a shot. Take care, The Hughes Fam

Baby Shower

We would just like to thank everyone who came to the shower this past sat and for all the gifts. It was more than we had ever expected and has really made the whole house "baby certified." I know Dillon will love all his things. The biggest thing was getting the stroller/car seat, Meg was really wanting that (shes in that "nesting stage" and she wants everything to be perfect, note to self Grandpas on your furniture issues...haha). Grandpa Hughes (or "Pa") is making the changing table and he decided to try and cut his hand off in the home stretch of finishin that project which kind of put us in a holding pattern there and Grandpa Hutcheson (at this time AKA "Grandpa Frank" or something like that..haha) has been tied up with work and had a lil procastination period in the beginning but he is back on track and should have that done in the next couple weeks (love you gpas!) so hopefully Meg can quit crackin the whip on both of them soon. Thanks again for everything I can tell you how much it helps out, we went to Babies R Us last night and I believe finished getting the things we needed before the lil one graces our presence in the next few weeks. Until next time.

well its the start of 2009 and I felt like I should prolly get with the 21st century!!!

Well I don't know how often I'll get this updated but at least wanted to give you a lil insight as to how the year has started. We have a lil less than 6 weeks of pregnacy left (then we get our lil Dillon, but we can wait a lil longer) and we just finished our labor and delivery classes this week. Boy were those great...nothing like seeing how all this stuff is gonna happen, haha...all in all though is wasn't that bad (I just get to get yelled at, she has to do all the pushing...remember Meg, BREATH!)

Everything seems to be doing pretty well, Megs holding up like a champ...her back has been hurting her a lil more than normal due to a lil spill on some ice! (everything is fine, lil Dillons still kicking her bladder good! ha). She is still working full time and we are hoping she will be able to make it till its time for the hatching!

As for the rest of our life, it is "business as usual." I am getting ready to attend a sales training/motivational deal for Dixie Chopper next week in FL (not really wanting to leave her alone but work is work). Should be good to get all the sales guys together in one spot and all get on the same page for a good start to the 2009 selling season...got to sell those mowers.

Church league basketball has started and getting to play with my cousin and possibly my uncle for the first time in an organized format so that should be fun! Anyway, until next time! Take care.
