FUN TIMES AT PA AND GRAMMYS

Corbin and Dillon love each other! Corbin loves to touch him and play with him and Dillon just isn't sure yet. He loves to just look at him. Im sure they will be best buddies really soon!

Pa and Dillon talking and having a good time. Dillon loves to be talked to and he is starting to smile and act very interested in what you are saying to him. He is so much fun, and like I said before, that smile will melt your heart in an instant! I just love his two little dimples!

Dillon is so lucky that he gets to spend so much time with all of his grandparents! And Darren and I are so lucky that we do not ever have to worry about him because we know he is having a good time and loving where he is. I am also very lucky to find a new job here recently! I will be leaving First National Bank in a couple weeks to go and work for Abstract and Title on May 11. The best thing of all is I will be working less hours which means more hours with my baby! :) I am so excited and can't wait to see him so much more!

More on the job topic, while Darren was in Florida he recieved another promotion/ job title. He is now the Manager of Marketing and Development at Dixie Chopper. So we are happy and blessed about that. Things are going very well for him there and he is very happy. He will probably be traveling more, which means me and D on our own again. But thats ok, we will make it. He does have another trip scheduled in May and was supposed to leave on Mothers day. Needless to say that flight was rescheduled and he will now be leaving on that monday! :)

We Love Spring Time!

*Just a couple pictures of Dillon from this weekend. He was being so cute and he loves his sunglasses!! He has a smile that will melt anyones heart! Check out the outfit, he looks just like Daddy in his golfing outfit! :) *

We are all enjoying this beautiful weather! Some of us more than others, (daddy is playing way to much golf) :) Dillon LOVES to be outside. He can be in the worst mood ever until you take him outside and then he is perfectly happy. (thank goodness it is getting warm) We went on a couple walks this weekend, we went for a shopping trip and Dillon even got his first experience mushroom hunting. We went to uncle Michael and aunt Tina's house and found a lot! I think Dillon was our good luck charm because I have never found that many.

I think we are getting very close to being in the clear from colic. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Night time is getting to be way more enjoyable than it had been. We are finally getting into a routine of bath time then bottle then bed time and I think he really likes to be on a schedule, it defintely has helped alot! He is now sleeping in his big boy bed and the past two nights he has slept all night!!!!!! I only got up to check on him once, besides looking at the video monitor everytime I woke up! :) He loves his bed and I hope the sleeping all night thing continues because it is WONDERFUL!

We Miss Daddy!

We sure do miss Daddy! We are just fine though. Dillon has been a very good boy and is even sleeping very good too. It's quite different being on our own. I said today that I definitely don't think I would like to be a single mom. We can't wait to go and pick up Daddy at the new airport on Thursday. Its supposed to be a very nice day so we will plan something fun for all of us to do outside. Darren is still trying to figure out how to get the car seat strapped on a golf cart. :) Just a short little post to let you know we are doing just fine, and Dillon is still growing like a weed! We will post more pictures later!

2 Months Old!!

I can't believe my baby is two months old already! I know everyone says it flys by, but its so true! Dillon had his two month check up yesterday. He weighed in at 11 lbs and 6 oz and has grown to be 23 1/2 in long. Dr. Emmick says hes growing like a champ! :) Along with the check up came his first round of shots. It was not a fun appointment. I made Daddy stand up with him while I tried to not pay attention. He was very upset but seemed to get better after Daddy got to pick him up. I got to stay home with him the rest of the day and we had a good day together. I started back to work last Wednesday. It was as bad as everyone said it would be. His Grammy and Pa had him one day, I was off one day and then he had Daddy time last Friday. I know he is in great hands with Darren's Parents and My Parent's but its not me getting to spend every waking moment with him anymore and its so hard. We'll get past it and figure it all out soon Im sure though.
Dillon had his first Easter on Sunday! There weren't any easter egg hunts this year but his easter baskets were full at the grandparents' houses! I don't ever remember getting that much from the easter bunny.
Not much else is happening in the Hughes household. Darren is getting ready to go to Florida for 5 days and leaving me and Dillon all to ourselves. It will be interesting, especially because I never liked to stay at our house by myself before let alone with a baby. Ill write in next week with a report! :) Have a good week!

We have met some milestones I would like to report!!!

Lil D decided it was time to turn over last night...I was laying on the floor with him and he was a lil fussy so we decided it was belly time so I laid him on his belly and he was just still not very happy and then all of the sudden he rolled over...Megan and I kind of looked at each other like did that just happen! So we flipped him back over on his belly and he did it 2 more time! So we thought we needed this on video so I grab the video camera get him ready again and NOTHING!!! However, we do have about 4-5 mins of great screaming on the video! haha.

He was being daddies boy yesterday as you can tell from the photos (ok so maybe all he was doing was supporting daddies teams!).
